Warehousing
As product is processed into CFG's warehouse, each container/carton or each pallet of similar product is check for SHU assignment and bar coding. If none are visible, CFG personnel assign SKU's and affix Barcode labels. All bar coded items are then scanned and that data is credited in the client's account in the database.

Each Client is pre-assigned not only rack storage space, but, as needed, floor storage space. To fulfill orders, product is picked from intermediate rack storage. Those shelves are restocked as needed from floor-stored and rack stored pallets of inventory. Each space, whether floor or rack, is also bar coded for easy identification during picking, restocking and auditing.

Receiving
During receiving, as client product is off-loaded from the transport, an initial visual inspection is performed by CFG personnel to determine if the shipping containers/cartons have been damaged. We set aside any such container/carton that appears to have been damaged in transit. Once the product has been counted, and before the transport driver leaves, we open those containers/cartons earlier set aside to  determine if any obvious damage occurred to the contents. If there is damage, we photograph those containers, note the damage on the paperwork, advise the driver and forward copies of the damaged product to the client as supporting documentation in the event the client wishes to file a claim for loss.
